Wedding Season Good for Pet Sitting in Columbus!

My brother’s wedding is coming up, so we will be going out of town and are unable to take Ty with us. We have decided to use the Petsmart PetsHotel like we have before. We’ve tried several different kennels, but always feel a little bad about keeping him away from home. We’ve never tried a pet sitter and know how hard it can be to trust someone. That’s why I started Trusty Paws Pet Sitting to begin strong relationships with pet owners and provide reliable care. When choosing a pet sitter, you need to make sure you discuss and check for certain things, like being insured and bonded. See a previous post Tips for choosing a Pet Sitter

Summer is wedding season and time for vacations!! If you will be gone for just a couple of days, such as going to a wedding out of town, it is a great opportunity to try a pet sitter. Trusty Paws is available on weekends and holidays, and weekdays after 5:30. See the page on Why choose a Pet Sitter for more information.

New Look to Trusty Paws Pet Sitting

I’ve been working on adding some new content and tweaking the theme used for the Trusty Paws website! I think I finally have it the way I want (for now). We have our own logo, as seen in the top left corner of the site. The rest of the layout is based on a theme found in WordPress, but a lot of it has changed! I added a drop-down menu that should work pretty well, and will really help to display my organized pages efficiently. I’ve been learning a lot about developing and customizing a website using WordPress, and I’ll continue learning in order to incorporate more interactive features on the site!

Functional Drop-down-menu

I finally got the drop-down menu working. I looked through several instructional articles and WordPress Plugins to find out how to script the hover and styling functionality. This does use Javascript and JQuery libraries, so you’ll need to enable that in your browser in order to see my additional pages! If you’ve come across the problem where your submenu disappears as soon as your mouse leaves the header area, make sure your root menu items have position:relative, and your submenus have z-index higher than everything else.

If you find any problems with the links or layout of the pages, let me know! Your feedback on the new design is welcome!
